Its disgusting the amount of people that are actually defending this little scumbag; comments like:
he wanted to move to a bigger club - I'm sorry but the is no club bigger than Everton.
Wanting to play in front of the Kop on those famous European Nights - if thats the case, buy a red scarf and join them.

There is no getting over Barmby and how he treated us; its impossible, when you're spending thousands of pounds a year travelling around the country and a player does that to you, its like a kick in the balls.

How did you all act when Lescott came back, did you give him a round of applause???

Of course we wouldent do it we are blues

But he wasent/isent a blue and wanted to move to a bigger stage

Let it go mate

Yes mate, didnt you? I don't see what was wrong with him moving to Man City and wanting to challenge for titles season after season. Let the hate go mate, it's not healthy.

Chris sorry for informing you of the truth. Don't have to go all snidey about it. All I've done is opened your eyes. You'll just end up foaming yourself into a bitter and twisted mess unless you admit to yourself that Liverpool are the bigger club. I'm helping you.

I didn't see this comment but now i'll answer it. I negged you for support of LFC and there glorious European nights as you put it.

Fact - there is no bigger club than Everton; end of discussion, debate what ever you want to call it. Being an Evertonian is like being touched by god, we are special and nothing else comes close.

Fact - The 'bitter and twisted' comment is the worse kopite turn of phrases I have ever heard in my life; thats something I'd expect to hear off RAWK not from a so called Evertonian

Just going to chime in with a point of view of a more broader sense. We as supporters love the club to death, and that means the players as well. But like what has already been mentioned, not all players will see the club like we do. In fact you'll have a few in every generation that really epitomise what the club is about. At the moment you have Cahill, Hibbert and Ossie, players that absolutely bleed blue in my opinion. Sure these guys are no where near the best players in our squad, but my appreciation and respect for them goes beyond many others.

Yes, Drenthe is a tit. Barmby was 10 times the tit. But at the end of the day, they do not care about the club like we do. They do not care about the club like Hibbert does, like Ossie does, like Cahill does. Can you imagine any of these guys handing in a transfer request? No. I'll respect them and admire them for being amazing servants right till the end, no matter how ****e their on field performances are. Because it's tools like Drenthe, Barmby, Gosling, Lescott etc. and even Rooney to an extent that make me appreciate these guys even more. No one is bigger than Everton, I don't care how much money another club is offering you...

Mate if you can't sit back and accept that them winning 5 European cups is a tremendous achievement then you must be bitter. Barmby wanted a piece of it and who can blame him?

Barmby was a tit like.

It wasn't that he left for a better team, it was the way he left. No 'I will always respect Everton and I enjoyed my time here' but an 'Everton were just a stepping stone.'

All he did was move to a bigger club to further his career?.

Only true Evertonians acknowledge Liverpool as a bigger club mate

Barmby moved to play for a bigger club in Europe. He wanted those famous European nights in front of the kop. I don't think anyone can blame him

In my 29 years of going to the match, either Goodison around England or Europe, I have never heard a 'Evertonian' make commens like this; you would have been strung up on one of our coaches lad. Hang your head in shame mate.

And referring to yourself as real Evertonian because you see the ****e has a bigger club is disgusting; i've spent more money, travelled further than you can imagine, had to watch the worse football possible over the many years I've been going; and you call yourself a better Evertonian than me???
