Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

Using your "logic" everyone in the world who does a job of work would be using their employer as a cash machine.

I'm sure there are many other people more deserving of your contempt in that regards at Everton FC.
I cant believe (again) he's made it onto another Everton coaching team.

And his 'record' of 1 win, 2 draws and a loss is nothing but bang average. The wheels fell off with the Leicester game and we were appalling against Arsenal.

No way he'll ever get the top job here. The owners saw what the future would be like under hoofball. Horrendous.

As harsh as it sounds, I think Unsworth is above Ferguson in the pecking order for those who could benefit from coaching at a new club.

I don't think Duncan was ever under serious consideration for this job and nor should he have been, by his own admittance also, but all things considered his stewardship of the team was perfectly acceptable given very challenging circumstances.

As much as I don't think this group of players deserve any cosseting, they will probably react more positively on the whole to Duncan remaining rather than being left out of Ancelotti's staff.

For the time being at least, these are the players we have so Ancelotti will go along to get along at least in part. It's not like he isn't bringing in significant numbers of his own staff, six I believe.

In the medium-term it is preferable for Duncan to try for a managers job maybe in the Championship, and I think after his recent experience, he might see that himself given time.

He wont leave and try his hand elsewhere. That takes gumption, and he'd prefer to sit on that dugout bench and never shift himself.

That underlines in spades exactly why he should never ever take the reins here as a FT manager.

Hat tipped to the other to cone layers he came through with, Stubbs and Weir for at least putting themselves on the line.

Ever thought that you may be wrong about him mate, and that other people with closer knowledge of the circumstances actually rate him.
There is a chance that you are wrong , after all you were totally wrong about Martinez and Silva , weren't you.

No, I wasn't.

Let carlo and his world class backroom team do their job.
Is he really needed at first team level let him earn his trade with the reserves where grit and hard work should be instilled into the youngsters

Tactically clueless. I'm still trying to figure out whether taking off tosun and Kean was for tactical reasons or for the same reason he took his jacket off.

You don’t believe any of that Davek. You’re a smart man you know the context of the results and what went on prior andthe context of Dunc himself.

You just don’t like him.

I dont see a manager there AT ALL.

If he had anything about him he'd be making noises about managing. Apparently he enjoyed his time managing - so why not prove he can do it FT?

He's staying put for a reason. He knows the footy world is harsh and other clubs wont treat him with reverence. He's just not that motivated.

Hes CLEARLY being primed to take over from Carlo.

Only a fool cant see that.

Morgan Schneiderlin is getting paid one hundred thousand pounds a week and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I'd be surprised if Ferguson was on as much as that per annum.

Carlo Ancelotti's wages at Everton: Yearly £11,500,000.
