Those feelings I got when he played for us come flooding back today.

Not advocating he gets the job for one second, but he hasn’t put a foot wrong over the last couple of days. Performed well in the presser, got the team up for today and secured the result, then gave a really good post match interview. The passion on the touchline was a joy - more from him in one afternoon than in 18 months from Silva. The wristband was a great little PR stroke too - wonder if it was his idea? Whatever happens next, this little cameo was vital and may give us a springboard. The season still has a long way to go - parallels with Joe Royle coming in to steady the ship in ‘94?! We can hope...!

That was a fixture that we've done well in in the last few years: Chelsea at home. That's the 4th time in the last 6 games at Goodison we've beaten them...with a draw and a defeat thrown in.

If there hadn't been a reaction after a 5-2 mauling from Liverpool you;d wonder wtf the season had in store for us.

He was my absolute hero when I was growing up and today has been absobloodylutely brilliant. Makes you remember why you're still a toffee even after all these years of misery. No idea if he might be any good long term, and today I don't really care. Thanks Big Dunc fella! COYB!

Add sound tactical nous then you have a Simeone / Klopp.

Obviously not saying Dunc will ever be anywhere near the level of those two but he certainly has a few ingredients needed.
