Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

Exactly. What we saw today is basically what you would get out of Moyes. And no one wants him. So why the sudden adulation over Drunken Duncan?
It's demographics. Many on here were weaned on his 'legendary' status so wish to relive their childhood or youth.

It'd be like me pushing for Duncan McKenzie to be brought in as manager...and equally ridiculous.

His tactics were to smash the ball 70 yards down the pitch and hope for the second ball. Straight out of the David Moyes playbook. May as well get the real McCoy in.

Ya but that works at goodison. It got intensity. Managers can have all the badges and tactics in the world but at goodison you need aggression and intensity . I hope our new manager understands this.

With results comes confidence and hopefully then a better brand of football. Until then if we get results by hoofing and get young lads feeling better supporting everton they can stuff their coaching tic tack football where the sun doesnt shine.

Good point about badges. Duncan has none. Which means he won’t be with us very long as manager.

Ferguson isn't, and shouldn't even be considered for the job, but 1, it was nice to see a win, 2, a win with a bit of passion, and 3, someone in the dugout who loved every minute of it.

That was a fixture that we've done well in in the last few years: Chelsea at home. That's the 4th time in the last 6 games at Goodison we've beaten them...with a draw and a defeat thrown in.

If there hadn't been a reaction after a 5-2 mauling from Liverpool you;d wonder wtf the season had in store for us.

Ah Dave. Come on lad.

Compare that today to silva almost every game he was here. Hands in pockets. Looking gloomy and face down at the pitch. Heard a stat just a while ago that we put in more tackles than any other side has in the prem for i think i heard right about 12 years. May have misheard that though.
No excuse at all why that hasnt been there all season.
Ferguson got more out of them in 90 minutes than silva did in 1350 minutes.
That chapter is over now bt wtf did we ever do employing him.

Intensity. You dont think playng to feet can be delivered with intensity?

Everton fans have been conned for years to believe that a physical approach and a long ball to contest = intensity. It doesn't. It's just a tactic adopted by rubbish managers and tolerated by fans who are too frightened to take chances in building up play.
