Dunc's Chance to Shine

So, confirmed staying..
Wonder if he gets the u23 gig?
Cause I can't see him being anything other than a coach in the new setup.
Can't imagine he will be in the inner management circle.
Minder to Lampard once he starts kicking off on the touchline after he has seen our defence.

Hope it’s not this situation…

No problem with Duncan Ferguson staying at Everton. If our misfiring wee team had taken their chances in the second half against Villa , then who knows what Moshiris decision would have been. Ferguson could have got the gig at least until the end of the season. It's a fickle old game. One win and Ferguson would have been looked at in a different light. The only thing about Ferguson that I don't understand , is why doesn't he give management a proper shot. Why does he think that he is not ready?
Anyhow.....good luck to Frank Lampard. No real guarantees that he will fare better than Ferguson. It's a fickle old game. Ferguson could yet prove to be the best of the lot. Who knows. I wouldn't write the big man off just yet. Up The Toffees......
The only thing ever to be grateful to Gerrard for.

Did Pope Francis say what role he wants him to play?

He defo wont be anywhere near the front bench in the dugout anymore.

Stupid comment. Accepting a defeat ( Gerrard or not). And for what reason? To get rid of Ferguson. Naw.......don't accept that at all.
You ......me.....And whoever else ......have no idea what Ferguson's worth is to Everton.

Best thing Everton can do for Dunc is to help get him a managers job in Scotland or lower leagues to cut his teeth.
Then, after Frank, he can battle it out with Rooney as our next boss

Lampard has offered Ferguson a role here again...because he wouldn't do the honourable thing and leave.

Lampard really needed to insist on him leaving. The galloot has interviewed for the job he got and he did so claiming he had the players supporting him in his bid.

THAT is a massive problem.

There should have been a ruthlessness there.

Hopefully Lampard does well until the end of the season and is in a position to get Ferguson out.
Have to say I agree. An opportunity to send a message missed. It was an open goal for Lampard to take. I'm the gaffer, and I'm choosing my own staff, all of them.

No paybacks, no hidden agendas. Under new management as they say. Ultimately it's politics I feel. As you say, steer us clear of relegation with something to spare and that can be revisited.

Ferguson will continue to be a pole toward discontent for these players....players who wanted him as manager let's not us forget.

How Lampard squares away the fact Ferguson pitched his plea for the manager's job on him being the only one who could deliver player commitment I dont know.

Old post I know but this is a major part of Everton's downfall. Hating everything to do with Liverpool at the expense of supporting the blues.

A psychologist would have a field day with it.

Why are you pretending to be an Evertonian?

You're a Liverpool fan.

Honestly, we're all a long time dead. Do something more productive with your time.

If you want to continue posting here, that's fine but we'll need to update your username and you'll need to be clear that you're a Liverpool fan.

You would think he would genuinely be chomping at the management bit for a gig like Sunderland

If he doesn't even interview for that job and sticks as nbr 3 or 4 to lampard he will never get a better chance to stop draining everton for money

He's settled for being a cone layer.

I'm ok with that.

His lack of ambition will mean the next time a manager is sacked he cant be taken seriously as even a caretaker for a few games.

I'd like to see Baines promoted and see what he can do...obviously years from now, as we want Lampard here for 3/4 years.

He actually needs to go. He has done nothing except be the support act for a string of failed managers.. this club needs to sweep clean. The manager needs his people to support him. Staff that he has selected … If it’s purely to have an Everton culture within the mgt team, well maybe that’s overrated.. and Baines comes across a lot more a thinker than a pure chest beating cheerleader
