Hi All,

I'm sad to announce that Dutch Toffee has decided to step down as a moderator on GrandOldTeam;

Thought long and hard about this and wanted you to be the first to know.
I've decided it's time for me to step down as a moderator on this forum. It's not a decision I took lightly, but one if I'm being honest to myself aswell as to you and the rest of the moderating team simply had to make.

Quite simply, DT couldn't dictate the time he felt was required to do a moderator position justice and has amicably decided to step down.

If GrandOldTeam closed tomorrow and I was asked to give my five greatest outcomes from the site - Getting to know DT would be one of them. One of the most amicable characters I've ever had the pleasure to get know. Thanks for all your hard work pal to ensure GrandOldTeam remained the greatest Everton forum on the web.

I'm sure Dutch will continue to pop in from time to time - and should no doubt enjoy losing the shackles of a moderator!

We won't be appointing a new moderator for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the kind words Danny, almost starting to blush here.

Enjoyed my time as moderator on here, as it really is quite an easy forum to moderate. The community on here contains mostly of level headed and friendly members. It's just that circumstances in my personal life have drastically changed over the last year or two and I don't really find the time and space required to the moderating job to the best of my abillity anymore. So decided I wasn't honest to myself or this forum if I would have stayed on.

Don't worry though, will never leave this forum for good, as there are far too many good memories and moments i shared with a lot of the members.

Also thanks to the rest of the moderating staff, I know you'll continue to do a superb job.

Can only echo what Danny has put and I can assure you all, after meeting Dutch several times, he is one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of spending time with.

Thanks for all your efforts as mod mate, I look forward to any time you post on here.

Same goes for you Cena and I'm sure we'll meet up again in the future.

I've never really conversed with DT but he's always come across as a nice guy and gets stuck in with discussion.

I hope he continues to post for a long time to come.

Never had the pleasure of meeting Dutch in person, but it's been a pleasure modding alongside him. Good luck with the future mate, hope you stick round and post when you need a good old Everton fume. There is always the UML.

What's the latest on your 'Other' Club DT ?

I'm afraid we're best compared to Pompey Mate. At one moment everything looks bright and shiney and the next moment it's all doom and gloom. Had a superb 2nd half during last season and looked in perfect postion to kick on from that in both sporting and financial terms. As usual our board managed to screw up bigtime though. Lost all our better players and are in financial meltdown, with the owner of our stadium looking at kicking us out of it.
