How bad are his stats really? Before last season he was averaging about 8 GAs per season in a very negative team. When you see him play it's clear that there's some talent and technical ability there. The question that remains to be seen is whether he can improve on what he's done so far and develop further. If we'd signed him last summer instead of this I don't think the reactions would be that bad.
