Pretty hard shift for him today, basically a left back on in a back 5. Don’t think Lamprd did him any favours today.

That said, seems such a waste of £20 million when we’re crying out for some dynamic forwards to spend it on him and a five year contract to.

Also, literally no idea why he or Garner aren't on set pieces. Gray is awful at those.

He’s not a freaking left wing back

To me he is an impact player from the bench in a more central position. He will not offer anything more currently.

We brought Vinagre in if we wanted a left wing back. We needed a front 3 player that scored goals. This was a genuinely awful signing.

If he's going to be good he's a playmaker either off the right or as a #10 type. He's too slow and one footed to play off the left. He's not been trained as a defender to play LB (although he can still end up here if he doesn't start showing more in the final 3rd). He was a bad player at Burnley tbh, we signed him on potential but that's just not always the move for a guy who has played a lot of first team matches already. You can see Godfrey, Ben for more on that.

I've been badly affected by his signing. A kin terrible player who no other club went in for, typical.

So he ends up at Everton and after a month everybody knows he's so limited and will do nothing here. Just hope he isn't like Gomes/Tosun/Niasse/Bolasie/Walcott/Schneiderlin and agrees a permanent move away in the very near future and doesn't stick around like a bad smell.

More realistic, sadly, is a load of loans to Championship clubs for the next three years before offloading him a cut-prices deal in the last year of his contract for about 15p.
