It's all that experience.
To be fair to him, he also didn't make any massive mistakes and didn't cost us goals. One of his better games for us by that alone.

If you had the chance to play it to a player central with nobody within ten yards 30 y from godly mate then that's the pass all day long.

For the goal, the best bit about it other than the shot is the run Harrison makes to create the space for McNeil to line it up, we've all been critical of him with the ball but he's always worked his arse off without it, something I always noticed at Leeds. It might seem a basic thing but our movement in front of goal can be so static so that was great to see.
…that was the one, nicked it off Eze and played the right little pass. Good assist to cap a decent performance.
Yeah, pulled him very well so McNeil had more space. DCL does that too occasionally, but we rarely have players running at them with him in any kind of space, good to see and something we hopefully see more in the future anyway.

An 'assist' and arguably the easiest read of a slow pass is honestly a high note he should retire on, right about this exact second.

Not his thread I know, but - happy to see DCL do it while staying more central. He usually drifts off to the sides for no reason which leads to having no presence in the box to cross to and ends our attacks, maybe having actual players on the wings frees him up a bit to find his own space.... as well as not having Doucoure in the "chaos" position playing 5 ft from him, I guess.
….poor lad, cut the old fella a bit of slack. It was a good clearance on the stroke of half-time. He did well today.
Absolutely will not, he should retire ASAP, and one good game out of his last 20 absolutely diabolical ones doesn't change that.
I've always supported Dwight on here when he was getting unwarranted stick, he's like a decent new signing.
