2024/25 Dwight McNeil

Actually insane that people are trying to argue he is bad. Something tells me people are desperate for him to fail because of where he came from and who he played for. People have tried to get their shots in on Tarks too but luckily for him our defense has been in the top half for a minute so he got a pass. We have not seen him under Moyes yet. He was one of the better players under Dyche. I suspect he will prove everyone wrong per usual

Still joint highest assists for the team and he's been out since December. Also joint 3rd highest goalscorer.

Says a lot.

Job of work is to make him a squad player in my opinion, do that and we have improved.
I agree with that. I like Dwight and look forward to him coming back this season and contributing next season. But I'd like to get to the position where he isn’t a guaranteed starter.

I look at a team like Bournemouth and they've got David Brooks as a squad player because of quality elsewhere. We need a squad that at least matches Bournemouth...

It was pretty impressive what they brought of the bench against us in autumn with our late loss despite our tactical disaster.

Is the way it should be always looking to inprove and get better players in. Is up to mcneil is raise his game. I do feel he can inprove more under moyes
I think Dwight would be a big improvement on Harrison and Lindstrom although some fans claim they have improved under Moyes! Don’t see it myself but I definitely think we have missed McNeils input.

He's a nice little asset to be honest mate, he can play a role and compete for a place, if he becomes a squad player he's on a manageable wage and his book price is getting very friendly - so he's an on and off the field asset.

I can think of other areas of the field that need improving before McNeils and unfortunately his time with Everton has been tied to a not so popular manager. I think Moyes will love him and get the most out of him.
