On record as saying when the contract renewal comes up the position has to be looked at - its a bad organization who doesn't that that opportunity to review and ensure they have the best candidate.

If Dyche wants to continue i think he has to show incremental progress this year on last year and make it very harsh not to give him an extension.

Not sure its the absolute slam dunk people think it could be that a new manager comes in - but very hard to read what TFG would do when they come in, they've a very mixed bag in appointing managers with no coherent philosophy in profile.

That's okay mate, these are important questions that need to be interrogated and discussed.

My thread may have died on the altar of truth, assaulted by accusations of bait, but I stand with @Moomin on his quest to understand and drive discussion about the managerial position at EFC.
It died because you didn’t have the patience to wait another few hours for the cocaine to take hold of the frothing masses my good man 😀

Where is the zero option??? No way am I selecting anything else unless we qualify for Europe at the end of the season, then I'll reconsider.

Probably not. Just because we're getting new owners, and they will want their own man. A 12 month extension maybe, but no point handing out anything longer if TFG are gonna get their own man as soon as he hits a hurdle.
Moshiri will give him a 5 year contract that will cost about 35 million for us to get out of, he'll do it as a final up yours to Everton.

Yeah we got 3 times more points than Sheff Utd last season. Double the points Burnley got, and 22 more than Luton. That's ignoring the deductions of course.

Not sure he's ever even had us in a relegation battle, all things considered. So 'always in relegation scraps' is just a soundbite with no basis in reality.

Well he seems to love talking us into a relegation battle in every press conference.

The only plausible reason for him to get an extension would be if he has us well clear of any trouble by January. And I think that’s a reasonable expectation given the crap in the league again.
