Even @MikeH72 would agree that last season was a great effort.

The issue is this season. We were awful and in real danger, at the time, of going down. BTW, the point a game that he has achieved over his career counts for nothing. The Premier League relegate teams based on points earned in a given season not on the manager's average over his career.

At his time of sacking he was on for 33 pts based on ppg, personally i think we prob would reverted to his mean or just above a point - think we would have finished on something like 36+.

I think there prob would have been an increased sense of jeopardy for sure, but i didn't really ever feel wed go down this season or would be of risk of it personally.

Yeah no complaints on this season really mate, I'm on record as saying he failed the audition this season from just a purely management point of view. But i think it was the context, that forced the hand really - i think his position was untenable after the takeover and events following.
