And get who in? Until the Friedkins are in place, it would be a temporary manager as no-one would take a job when the owners are about to change.
Surely by now the Friedkins would have some indication that they were getting PL approval, the others are just formalities.

I think they will go through easily, the only issue will be the PL holding it up to keep us around the bottom under Dyche.

You’re right, the Friedkins don’t take any messing, they’ll have a manager lined up and ready to step in as soon as the takeover is done
After sacking the special one in January this year the gave the job to a former Roma favorite Daniele De Rossi and after a good couple of months that included a run to the Europa semi final gave him a deal to 2027. They sacked him in September after 4 games which caused uproar with the fans.

That does sound trigger happy.

I'm all for not rewarding failure and raising standards, but it smells of the sort of batshizzle stuff Moshiri did.

If I were in the Friedkins’ position I would be speaking to potential managers now with the aim of announcing a manager on day one of the takeover. Its a sign of intent and I think it would be a good marketing move from them to get the fans on their side straight away because it would send a message that they are here to bring about real change at our out dated club.

Who ever gets the job after Dyche will need some time to get the team moving up the table. Dyche got 18 months up to this summer and after that time we are begining to go backwards again. Even the 5 game run unbeaten some of the performances were pants, particularly Fulham. He might keep us up above the bottom 3 till the new year, but I would hope the next couple of months would see us line up the right man to take us forward and not have us looking for another manager in 18 months time.

I hope they punt Thelwell too. I know he’s not had money but he’s absolutely wasted any that he’s had and left us with an awful, unbalanced squad.
Baffles me anyone has any time for him at all.

I cannot fathom how anybody who has actually seen the team setup and play this season can be confident that this manager will have the team safe. The tactics have regressed and the manager is stubbornly picking his favourites each week (regardless of this fabled premier league fitness he keeps using to hold others back from getting anywhere near the team) to the detriment of results.
I watched this manager substitute his starting attacking players to chase the game and then put our best centre back on to enable him to put his starting centre back up front, at best that was utter madness seeing as that’s his masterplan when we are only 10 games in to the season. Is this really the sort of move a top level football manager sees as his best bet to get something from a game he had no interest in winning in the first place?
International footballers and he’s asking them to not have the football in EVERY game while they watch a team without a league win all season jam packed with talent like Jack Stevens, Adam Armstrong, Jan Bednarek, Kyle Walker - peters and a 36 year old Adam Lallana pass it round them in his THIRD season here.
We’ll be fine though apparently
Sums up perfectlythe reasons why he needs the boot.

No point sacking him - until the new owners are in.

But our FFP is going to going to give such little wiggle room. I'd rather ensure the pain for 6 months and avoid the payoff so we can actually strengthen the side and not rinse and repeat.

Before I get called out for saying "stay".
