On what basis would Ross deserve a place in the side currently? A great potential talent but just not with it this season. Robles should return, but won't, and Mirallas should start and owes us a big performance.

Hopefully Baines will be back.....and dare I say it I expect Leon will start and make a difference despite being much maligned on here.

Opinions mate. Imo barkley would start. He'd start in the correct posistion and be given a run of games to find his form and confidence. Being in and out of the team is doing him no good either. Plus I don't think he's been as bad as most frustrated blues are making out. And there's definately been immitigating circumstances.

As you say. Osman could well start tho!

We've just played played 5 games in 14 days. The players get a break this weekend, then it's 4 games in 11 days.

The players can turn out in all 4 games, but they can't compete against fresh players in the Premier League.

.....I don't see why he can't play what he considers his best team for the next 2 games. Both are at home and require no travelling, 2 wins would make the world a much better place. A decent win on Thursday could mean he could pick a 'park the bus' team for the 2nd leg.

And isn't this the saddest part of the mess we find ourselves in now with still having to secure a PL place. Wouldn't it have been great to pick our strongest team for the EL and a weakened one for what at the very worst should be just a mid-table mediocrity PL fixture.

Two wins would certainly improve our world.

We didn't get many points in our last run of games;
Young Boys away won
Leicester home drawn
Young Boys home won
Arsenal away lost
Stoke away lost

So we desperately need to get more in the next run;
Kiev home
Newcastle home
Kiev away
QPR away

But the Sunday games are troublesome. We'll have to use our resources as best we can.
