Exchange offices take Euros, Dollars and Pounds. Just a warning about withdrawing money out there, you will not be able to use most ATMs that you see because of the dire situation their banks are in. Security-wise it's absolutely fine, just banks are folding left, right, centre and others have no spare cash.

If you must withdraw money (likely that you will) then your best bet will be the Euronet ATMs. There are a few along the main street Khreschatyk situated on the sides of kiosks. These are perfectly safe.

I´m glad that evertonian from Russia have such smart and sensitive attitude to Putin and politics ;). BTW, I saw your (russian toffees) web site many years ago, great job. I hope we shall meet one day at some Everton match and have a chat with beers, cheers from Slovakia :)

Could you say something about how expensive clothes are ? i am considering to come to kiew with an empty bag and leave with a full one.
