The reason the likes of Barkley, Naismith sat out Sun whilst Gibson, Osman etc stayed on is because of his plans for this game.

The only doubt for me on the team above is Mirallas depending on whether he was injured or it was just a political decision.

Barry and Besic are fresh for the game having sat out the Newcastle game and McCarthy is one of the first names on the team sheet.

I'll be surprised if Barkley starts, tbh. If we need some punch from midfield and we're struggling he'd be introduced off the bench for one of the three in the middle.

I believe Martinez will be intent on screening our back four to start this game off and look to hit them hard on the break.
