Easily Forgotten Everton Players

On threads like these, people often name players who either never played for us in a competitive game, like Bosnar, or they name players who are a kind of "reverse-legend" becuse they were so indescribably poor, like Bernie Wright or Brett Angell.

It's also a bit unfair to name youth players who had the odd substitute appearance for us imho.

Preston for Paul McKenna’s testimonial , wasn’t aware of the other too so good shout lol

Ah yes, of course Preston.

I remember travelling 6 hours to Motherwell to draw 0-0. He definitely played.

I also think it was Cahills last ever game for us?* (May be wrong*)

** Actually I may be wrong, maybe he didn't play.

Think he only played 3 games in the 95/96 season if i remember, i always remember his poster in the boxing day game programme, and for some reason, what looked like ice cubes coming out of his sock when he was kicking the ball

Haha I know exactly the picture you mean!

I thought O'Connor and Neil Moore were going to be our centre back pairing for many years to come. I really rated Moore, tall, strong, good on the ball but allegedly he was a shy lad who just wanted to play football. Had a nice long career at the lower levels though.

Alan Wilson.
