ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Just wondering how someone who claims that he held out the possibility of Chelsea and Spurs winning points off Liverpool are now guaranteeing us that (100%) they'll get nothing out of those fixtures.

I just seek consistency now because clarity is not on offer.

The Echo have now announced that City have been handed a 'big advantage' in the PL race, as their players travel less miles in total that the few non-crippled RS ones do, leaving the Reds 'very unhappy'. As if sitting on a plane in First Class for an extra half hour is gong to render them physically incapable of running several days later.

They then go on to entirely blow up their own argument when they go on to say that Spurs have easily the greatest total mileage. Who do they travel to next??

Finally, tired of their constant claims that VVD is one of the best defenders in the world, they have now announced that he is one of the best defenders OF ALL TIME

'If The Echo didn't exist it would be necessary to invent them'...

In fairness that includes City United and us away. They don’t have any games nearly as difficult as those left. I’m hoping Southampton can do something against them and potentially Spurs also.

Newcastle is a guaranteed three points as Rafael is a disgrace against them, Wolves will be on the beach too. Chelsea seem in disarray.
Well for the Southampton players, it's their big audition day, so they'll try to do something I hope.

UEFA never get sick of cash cows.
Ronaldo vs Messi in a Champions league final is the biggest cash cow of all time ( as far as football is concerned)
It's the story of the football in the first part of the 21st century coming to a head. Win that, get the last ballon d'or possibly available to those two before the likes Mbappe or Sterling or Hazard or De Bruyne take over.

In 30,50,..,100 years time, they'll ask who was the greatest? And the metric will be trophies won, and who got the most ballon d'ors.

Who gives a flying monkey about the big teams left in like united? Or the historically big noise of the rs and Ajax or the upcoming tale of potentially a team that could dominate for 5 -10 years in city? Those stories sell themselves but only in supporting roles. Juventus-Barca all the way for me. That's what I want to see.

"It's the wind..." "It's the snow..." "It's geography!!"

We don't makes excuses though, says captain pointy....

Listening to 5Live this morning. A Scot who works for them was at the match last night. He laid into the absent players, i.e. Snodgrass, Ritchie and Macarthur. He also moaned about Fraser and another Bournemouth player who didn’t want to play on the plastic pitch. Andy Robertson who he said had a dentist appointment got a pass because he is passionate about the national team. Beggars belief.
