First I've heard about this. You'd think they'd have learned by now. I only came here to talk about the actual football match, but I'm not bothered now.
I know how you feel mate. I'm not a softie by any means, but this is dragging my mood right down. I'd rather be laughing at them comparing their team to the imperious Barcelona and finding that actually all their players have miraculously turned into players better than all those serial winners and battlers and magicians with the ball over there at the Nou Camp.

We can do that tonight once they have been battered on the pitch...before the police batter them off it ;)

From RAWK

Some news being bandied around about this claim that the man who got thrown in was making a nuisance of himself round the square and trying to flog stuff at unreasonable prices so there are suggestions he's not entirely blameless himself.

Horrible scenes in Barcelona as Liverpool fans push an elderly man into a fountain then mock him

They are the "Eoin McLove" of football fans, just do whatever they want with no worries of recriminations...

im not surprised the police are all over them. drinking on the streets is illegal in barcelona. i got a small fine for it myself in my first year living there.

theres an unwritten rule that you should at least attempt to hide the fact you have a beer in your hand when the police go by. not swigging it down in front of them and flinging cans on the ground. id fully expect any group of people openly swigging beers in placa reial to be moved along or approached at some point. add in the noise of them lot and the people pushing then of course they are going to find trouble.
