So Liverpool have gone from signing Allison for £80mill and fekir for £53mill to nick pope for £15 mill and Shaqiri for £12 mill...
The sad thing is they're fans will lap it up, because klopps got a plan hadn't he lads, lads?
Signing only elite players they boasted. Can't help but thinking only the ite in elite was right.

So in essence, besiktas tried to have us off with tosun but we still did what good teams do and got our man.

Whilst the RS have done what we used to do under Kenwright with no money and try and lower fees at the last minute only to be told to jog on. If they don't have an extra couple of mill to buy a backup winger, will they be doing any business on the actual back five they need to improve? Or is Klopp going to do the same mental thing he does every transfer window and just buy attackers?

It's all conjecture of course, however it appears as if that shower have tried to use the findings of the medical to lower the price - a reported £5m.

Their fans have been quick to defend the club by mentioning that 'medicals are there for a reason', which I dutifully acknowledged was correct.

However, if there's underlying knee issues then why attempt to still buy him? If the figure is correct, why knock off such a measly sum of money?

Basically, it looks as if they've tried to muscle Lyon with their claims so they could save a few quid and Lyon have simply pulled the plug on them.

Nothing wrong with fighting for a bargain of course, as I'd expect us to do the same, but from Lyon's reaction it seems they've crossed the line.

Why not lower his wages instead? Like you say, he's got dodgy knees, not lyon's fault.

Another form of tapping up a player this....

Agree a fee with a player, then at the last minute try to renegotiate a fee you know would have been originally rejected....

As you say, if the knee injury is worrying enough, liverpool would have just dropped their interest.... You wouldn't pay over 50m for a player with a dodgy knee

This is just Liverpool playing games again...

Fekir will be sold, if not Liverpool then someone else.

It's not the first time they have got away with tapping up players. Houllier told them about fekir and benitez basically admitted he put Liverpool in contact with coutinho when he was at inter.
