The whole “injury” thing was a great spin by his PR team wasn’t it. I’m sure his name staying in the news has earned him, Liverpool and the Egyptian FA a nice wad of cash. All for a minor injury that was never going to keep him out anyway. Hell he even met a world leader out of it all!

Is him not playing in a crucial WC group match part of this money-earning spin?

The feller doesn't want to play.

He'll be sitting out that game against West Ham in August with hay fever.

No heart. He had a flash in the pan season and will get about 20 goals this season. If FSG had any sense they'd sell him now.

Would that "20 goals" beat everyone at Everton next season?

Ramos, meanwhile, was once again asked about Salah ahead of Spain's Group A clash against Portugal on Friday evening. "I sleep well at night, I have an easy conscience,” he grinned. “Some people tried to use certain arguments to become more popular but I am who I am – and I rest easy. If anyone has any doubts about me, they can check my CV."

Ramos 'kin owns the Kopites.
