ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

This season has also hammered home how much the rest of the country hates them, they’re seen as scum in every town and city in this country and their failure will only have them acting in ways where more people hate them.

Was sat in a bar with work mates consisting of 1 Serb, 1 S.African, 1 Brit, 1 Canadian. Each one of us praying for City to win. People seriously do not like the RS as much as the media pretends

Because it is a bad attitude to be having and it makes us look like we're a club who belong in the Championship. We're an irrelevance trying to cling on to anything, when we should be asking when we are going to be in a position to be challenge for honours.
Were you around to see them praying for us to get relegated in the 90's? I was, so forgive me for enjoying every minute of this.

I know they lost the race at Goodison but a special mention to Spurs.

Knocking Citeh out of the CL meant the great Pep could concentrate on catching the dogs.

Even more than us taking the points off them in the derby, losing to Spurs was the most significant factor IMO.

We saw how City struggled to get into their stride in all their recent league games.....including today.

If they had got past Spurs I don’t think they would have won all those games.

Actively cheering another club on to glory in their own stadium is so pathetic.

We're Everton Football Club, not whoever is playing against Liverpool
But we had nothing to play for, we didn't celebrate their goals and went mad when we scored. We were singing about a game in a few weeks, not actively supporting Spurs. At the end of the day their manager is a horrible piece of work, had we perhaps got a draw in December and he din't run on the pitch we probably wouldn't of celebrated as much as we are now and sang for 10 minutes after the final whistle of the derby. To be honest I never really hated Benitez even after his small club comments, because by and large he was relatively respectful in his behavior. He also did a lot for charity and helping the city, he went back for Hillsbrough events after he left and other than his misjudged comments he didn't generally make a t**t of himself on the touchlines. However Klopps behavior is simply unforgivable, plus the comments made by their players after the derby game in March. Just imagine if a Everton player, had said "it's great that we took a point off Liverpool to help City" they'd be fuming. The reality is they are the devils club, their fans, their manager and their players are a disgrace to our city and we have every right to wallow in their failure.
