Can somebody explain why this CL final isnt for another 2 weeks?

What an utter farce.

I would guess that some leagues are playing this weekend. No idea if thats right, but would make sense if so.

edit. Just checked and the last Spanish games are this weekend, so at least one hasnt finished.

Isn’t it sommat to do with UEFA insisting on having total control of the ground for several weeks or something like that before the Final?

I remember a few years ago when the final was at Wembley the play off finals were either brought forward or delayed to facilitate this policy.

They take over catering, security, turnstile people.....the lot.

Athletico played at home last weekend so maybe UEFA say they need three weeks to prepare the stadium.

Which sounds preposterous to me,,...but that is what happened at Wembley.

kopite very upset with me this morning in the kitchen at work saying if 24 points were deducted from Everton they would be relegated 24 points from Lifpool they would still finish 2nd, I said that's a ridiculous stat as they never won the league and the reason is because of karma. What you mean he says, ' Cos Salah is a cheat and if you cheat you don't win anything' he's not pleased stormed out of the kitchen in a rage. Really what do they expect.

Should have said - if we had won 2 more points we’d still be 8th but if you had you would have win the league.

That assault happened a while ago now didn't it? Absolutely terrible thing to happen. The thing is i don't remember it ever being a big national news story (i might be wrong). I had totally forgotten about it, I can't imagine the city players would specifically sing about it.

And, of course, the incident might not have happened if their fans hadn’t acted so poorly when they played City.

pretty certain that was when they moved it to a saturday final & insisted that all games had to be done before it making it the final game
