I've had an e-mail from The M&S Bank Arena -
"Join Jamie Webster, Kieren Molyneux, Ben Burke and special guests for a BOSS send off ahead of LFC's Champions League final in Madrid.

The Mighty Reds have reached the Champions League final for the second year running and Jurgen is going to take heavy metal football to the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1. As a warm up and to say buen viaje or just come on lads we'll be bringing sweet music and a red hot atmosphere to Space by M&S Bank Arena on Monday 27 May."

£25 if anyone wants to go.

I'm scalding my cutlery that night, thanks all the same ;)

The Kompany shot was hilarious. Just at the moment when they thought they had the title in their hands and a veteran centreback snorts in a 30 yarder when they didn’t look like scoring.

I mean, obviously there was the slip and Crystanbul before, but this year it was dangled right under their nose and snatched away on a number of occasions. Poetic, and confirms Vincent Kompany as one of the Premier League's great score knowers

Better get rooting down the back of my sofa.

Going down like a lead balloon/cast iron lifebelt then?

I hope so.

Where is it, just so I can avoid the area at all costs.

My absolute favourite was Michael Thomas 1989. Just beautiful.

As brilliant as that was, they just assumed back then they’d keep hoovering up titles. To not win it I. 30 years, get 97 points, lose only one game, have the luckiest season in your prem history and still not win it is crushing for them. They’ll genuinely be asking themselves if they’ll ever win it now.

Just need Klopp to get lost and a new Ferguson type at one of the rest of the top 6 to emerge and they’ll genuinely be looking at the drought not ending in the foreseeable future.

I'll have sweet dreams tonight after reading this post.

Great post. I've always said they'll pick up the odd cup here and there. It'd be impossible not too with the money they've spent but them not winning a league is the stick I'll keep whacking them with.

Would love to but I’m shoving red hot needles through my testicles that night.

Prev, just discovered that I’ve had you mistakenly on ignore. Apologies, I’ve never purposely put anyone on ignore.

It was your lot that made it toxic. There’s a reason the entire country hates Liverpool fans and not Everton fans.

This with beans on toast!

I moved from Liverpool about 5 years ago. You see a dread on people's faces when football comes up with the "red or blue" question. There is relief nine times out of ten when I say I'm an Evertonian.

The media have made it worse. The amount of coverage a team who have won nothing of note for 13 years is outrageous and they have had about 5 successful seasons in the last 30 years. It allows their knob fans to buy into this special and entitled nonsense. Were Huddersfield getting this coverage in the 50s and 60s cos they won a few pots in the 30's?

The reaction to them "winning" the league by not having as many points as the champions has been the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in sport.
