I think he sees himself as some sort of icon that transcends football. Already fallen out with the Egyptian FA about his own special image status, rumours he’s becoming difficult for Klopp because of his demands, the PR stunt holiday snaps of him looking pensive on the beach every time he goes away, the praying celebrations he does, that stupid T-shirt, his bizarre appearance at the ballon dor event when he won nothing. He’s genuinely an ego maniac.

One outstanding season in a 9 year career.

Tbf, Maccabi and other Israeli clubs like Beitar Jerusalem FC are horrendous racists.
