I can’t remember if I’ve already commented on this or not, but my view is the same as the vandalism of st ruperts tower and the vandalism someone shared at that time of a hillborough memorial out on the Wirral somewhere...

It’s bad bells doing stuff that is way, way below acceptable standards of a human society.

Neither reflects either fan base, but both reflect poorly on those fanbases and on the city, and the response of “stooping to their levels” isn’t a good one.

Tit for tat isn’t acceptable.

Belittling it by comparing it to behaviour of other knobs isn’t enough.

Anyone seeing any of this needs to be calling it out, whether it is anti Everton or anti Liverpool.

I’m sick of this.

Same as the 6 on the tower.

Both clubs need to work harder to come together to stop this sort of behaviour.

The internet view of what an evertonian is, or definition of a ‘RS’ or koppitenbehaviour plays a part.

This site (and this thread in particular) is very good at saying “reds are x” or “their fan base does y” when they must know plenty of Liverpool fans that are nothing of the sort and don’t behave that way.

Liverpool boards are good at doing the same the other way.

The bitterness that exists between the two fanbases continues to be fanned and will only continue to get worse while it happens.

Exactly, especially labelling it as retribution for an 'alleged' graffiti attack on the Tower.

@SteChallinor As for the tit-for-tat allegations, I'd agree to a certain extent, but as a 5 year old me once said "you started it". Theres no smoke without fire, and while I'm not condoning the graffiti (just the justice bit, you'll have to swallow the pushers bit till you accept responsibility) I'd say it was probably coming after vandalising the tower time and time again.

I don't need an excuse mate, it wasn't me who did the graffiti, I was in bed at the time.

Like I said, it's totally uncalled for and to be honest, I wouldn't have expected it from a blue - hence first thinking it was photoshopped.

Hope there's CCTV and they can get hold of them although as @4737carlin said, it's not really a story that should be thrown on the pages of LFC's main propaganda machine as I can guarantee there will be paint all over Goodison and Ruperts Tower as retaliation by your lot, and the spiral goes on.

This is why The Echo run it, they want a retaliation, they want another story, they wont care that this stuff annoys nearly all blues, they just want the clicks and outrage.

Besides with the new ground pics we have had too much good press over the last few days, so something is need to counteract that
 
Look, everyone knows it was just some little knobhead Red or Blue or whatever, just like Rupert’s Tower and all the other mindless agitations have been. Even the people who are going to use it as ammo to win their weird online battles (because that’s where humanity has got to) know deep down it was just a bad apple and that all walks of life have them, they just want to play the big man and have their twitter arguments.

It shouldn’t be made into a huge thing and publicised to the point it has been because then the cretin who did it has sparked something off and won.

Yes it’s a terrible thing to do but at the end of the day it was one person/a small group of mindless idiots who wanted exactly the reaction they’ve got so they can fight some weird crusade about 22 millionaires kicking a football about. It doesn’t represent football fans as a whole. Let’s not give them the attention they crave from their screen in their grandmothers basement eh? And that applies to all clubs and fan bases when stupid things like this occur.
