As predicted, Liverpool lose to the first decent team they play this season. However much they've improved they are still miles behind City and Chelsea.

I’d quite like us to go as far as possible in this competition, and them being out of it along with United and maybe Spurs enhances that possibility.

Both PSG and Spurs are top sides as are that lot.

Like I've said before what will do them over the course of the season is a lack of depth. Somehow the signing of Shaqiri has fooled them in to thinking an injury to Salah or Mane won't badly derail and unbalance them. Not signing Fekir is going to come back to utterly haunt them. City and Chelsea both have the better squads, think they will be around third depending on if both Spurs and Utd sort themselves out.
