ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

It's almost a shame they lost as a silly-cup distraction might've dented some league form.

Either way tho' Man City are just too strong: they have per-man better players and in Pep an actual winner as chief. Respect to Klopp for those two Bundesligas but other than that he's not actually won anything of note.

I know what you mean but the Champions league can do that for them, im just glad they are out, so we can be sure to not have to play them in the next round (if we get there), and Klopp is now 1/4 on the way to having an empty season, again

Got to be a good thing that they lost. If they'd won tonight that stupid 'perfect start' would still have been intact, and winning becomes a habit. It breeds a sense of invincibility.

Now that they've lost suddenly they're going to feel uncomfortably fallible again. And the confidence boost it gives Chelsea before the weekend is priceless.

Now, if the powers that be had announced before the game that they had to share the two games one apiece, then I'd have wanted them to lose, but even they haven't managed to bring that law into play yet have they?

No one is mentioning it as they’ve been winning in the league but over 100 million was spent on Keita and Fabinho and their first choice midfield remains Henderson Milner and Wijnaldum. Oxlade Chberlain when fit is probably ahead of them too. Yet we ruined the transfer window apparently for paying 40 mill on Richarlison. I thought Keita was supposed to be Kante and Modric roller into one the way the press were going on about him. Fabinho can’t even make the team.

So much for Klopp's arm around the shoulder camaraderie with his players. Just been reading that he tore a strip off their new signing Shaqiri on the pitch when the whistle went last night. Looks very animated from the photos. He reckoned that Shaqiri shouldve taken the last gasp freekick instead of Henderson who not surprisingly wasted it. Surely Klopp shouldve got a grip of his inspirational skipper then ...instead of publicly berating a new player with only a couple of games under his belt ?

I watched it and he propper kicked off on little Frodo like lol

Spurs look all over the shop currently. PSG are a good team yes. Currently they are struggling a bit too mind.

I think most people can see Shaqiri is a bang average signing who is a Stoke level player. Decent value but they've got what they paid for there.
Disagree with that. In the half he played the weekend he was Liverpool's MOTM and was also clearly Liverpool's best play last night. He's been very good in his brief appearances so far, creating plenty with lots of positive movement & passes.

Not sure quite what you're seeing there!
