Always been a rumour that Ferguson stormed the RS dressing room after and had Ruddock by the throat and Ruddock absolutely bricked it asking if he wanted to go for a pint etc. Ruddock or RS never laid much of a glove on us for a couple of years after that, they were scared of us. Despite gamemanship etc how I would love to see a blue have a Keane on Vieira moment in the tunnel before a derby. Got to be better than having Baines & Jags laughing and being matey with them over the last decade.

Why though? Maybe it's my age showing, but is it normal behaviour for players to kick the crap out of each other in the tunnel?

Not normal at all what Ferguson did, but he did it (allegedly) in confines of dressing room. As for Keane it can be found on internet easily enough, no one kicked crap out of anyone. He just stood up for his teammate and did what he did for his whole career, won. Its the sheer passion and will to win, that I was getting at.
