EVERY SINGLE TIME.. I want to know why is it absolutely necessary to listen to that dirge on every single MOTD highlight programme. I'm pretty sure we don't have to listen to every other teams pre-match song (e.g. Bubbles at West Ham... Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur, Z Cars.. Coming Home, Blue Moon...Hi Ho Silver Lining (Villa) when they give the team news. Don't tell me it's just a coincidence.

Apparently Sturridge has been charged with passing information which would not normally be available to the general public

Which club he was at at the time seems absolutely irrelevant to me.

This could be anything about players, team line ups, tactics plus a whole plethora of other similar stuff

Liverpool in their statement have said he's fully cooperating and hasn't betted on football

So firstly the charge doesn't even include him betting and so that 'defence' seems completely bizzare and irrelevant and secondly would anyone really think they wouldn't at least answer the questions put to them and so on the surface cooperate when perhaps his whole career could well be at stake?

Just a bland holding statement meaning absolutely nothing imo

if his answers are credible or not is something completely different.

The FA usually charge someone when they are certain of winning anyway.

José getting off with his FA charge of swearing in Portuguese was such an exception they're still in shock and hence ludicrously appealed it

In a relatively recent betting related case Joey Barton was handed an eighteen month ban.

(Way back in 1964, our own player Tony Kay was banned for life although his charge was extremely serious and part of a betting ring - on google)

If he has given betting information regarding his own transfer surely that is more serious then banging a few Saturday acclimators.

He has committed Insider Trading so he has to be made an example of just like Barton.

Cue hearing giving him a slap on the wrist and nothing said about it ever again until someone else does it and gets banned for 2 years.
