ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

They seem to be obsessing over our (or my) cockiness in relation to the derby. I have no idea why, given I can't actually remember writing how I thought the game would go, never mind say I thought we would win.

When you are talking delusion though consider this. They supposedly have the best manager in the world, the best centre back in the world, the best left back in the world, a centre back who should be starting for the World Cup Semi Finalists, the next player of the year (who would have shown us why by September of this year), a "world class' number 10 in Shaqiri and the best front 3 in the world.

That to me sounds like the greatest sporting team of all time. Yet here we are, with them not top of the their domestic league, and yet to secure qualification through their European group having lost to a side who hadn't won a game in about 30 years.

I'm sure some of them will perform mental gymnastics to try and square that particular circle. Much of the response will focus on being abusive towards me, employing the use of threatening language, and generally pointing out (in minute detail) our history of winning trophies. Unfortunately it won't be a truthful response, which for the most part their a clueless, abusive and often racist bunch of idiots who don't understand irony, perspective, relativism or football and make ludicrous statements that can't be substantiated when put under any scrutiny.

Oh and for the lurkers, I can go either way on the derby. It's a long way from my cup final or favourite weekend of the season. In fact it's normally my least favourite week of the season, as my correspondence is filled with threats, racism and misogyny. Your lot will never be important enough to have any significant impact on me or any other Evertonian's lives. As I said the other month, you are worms made to feel like dragons through your weird cultish behaviour. You will always be worms to me though. (Remember when the red lurker abused me and threatened me on here for making this point?).

As for the game itself I'll watch like I do all other games. If we win great, if not life will go on. If we win I'll celebrate and then wish you all the best. It's a much easier happier way to live your life. As it happens, I suspect Liverpool will win the game 2-0, with Mane getting one. Football is unpredictable though so I hope to be wrong.

They resort to it because they know you’re right mate. My RS mate is the same when I have him on the ropes talking about them, he just slams the phone down, and then starts texting me pictures of European cups.

My RS mate makes things up that I allegedly said in previous arguments. Some of the stuff is ridiculous I've got to the point where I only like talking football with him in a group so other people can hear what I actually say. He doesn't really 5 times it but he does believe every achievement of theirs is better than anyone else's. Another RS I used to be friends with actually went off football when they were finishing 6th-8th a few seasons ago. He is an absolute tool hates young players and whatever sport he watched only ever wants the favourite to win. The 3rd RS in our group is just deluded every time Liverpool are interested in someone he is best player in the world. If he signs somewhere else it is suddenly because they weren't good enough.

had one try to convince me that liverpool were bigger club than bayern.of course i disagreed and when we started talking about europe he actually said sure when's the last time bayern even won the european cup.when i pointed out that only a few years ago bayern actually done the treble,he stood there shocked for a min and then came out with,ya well pep never won it with them did he?i had to walk away then before i got very angry.just no talking to them muppets.

Should have confirmed to him that was one of the 5 finals (might be more) Klopp lost when Bayen beat Dortmund ;)

The problem is mate they still think they are on the same level as the likes of Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, when the reality is they are way off.

The RS that only likes favourites is more weird than I can explain. He would be happy if nothing ever changed he still waited for his gf to come in from work and make his tea even though he worked from home. They were skint and he was buying golf gear and RS garbage instead of contributing to bills. She kicked him into touch eventually. He also bought an England top on with Lampards name when Slippy put in his request as he expected him to be part of any deal. Joke was on him when Slippy stayed put so he burnt the top when Lampard missed penalty in 2006. As I say weirdo!
