Let's face it

Either they go through and could still win the CL

Finish 3rd and go into Europa, and be one of the favourites there

Go out of Europe and can then concentrate on the league

None of those three options are particularly appealing
City will win the league.

The RS are nowhere near good enough to win the CL even if they get out of the group stage. Even accounting for their luck.

The Europa League I will agree with, but remember this is a team that lost 2-0 to Red Star. They are nothing special.

I have to say, in terms of support, the liverpool fans were a disgrace last night. Given what was at stake you'd have expected them to be in the ground well before kick off, scarfs aloft and singing their hearts out (just like the "magical" anfield nights). Throughout the game you'd expect a constant noise to urge the team on. They win and they are through.

What happened? Barely in their seats 10 mins before kickoff, still people filtering in at kick off, barely any signing and when they did it lasted hardly 30 seconds. Didn't do their scarf thing, didn't at any time sing YNWA, apart from the penalty they barely pushed the team on. Pathetic. Their fans and great support are a myth based on a few televised matches on home European nights. They deserve to go out. When Napoli came to PSG they helped generate the best atmosphere I've ever witnessed live and no doubt it helped the team. I hope they drop to the EL and enjoy random eastern European cities

They know their Holy Grail is The Title. They can concentrate all they like but their situation will remain the same until City falter. Nah...me neither.

They won't win the title, but as my RS mate likes to point out, City are blowing teams away and scoring goals for fun, they haven't been at their best but are still only 2 points behind City, and somewhere along the line they will click, and City will hit a bad run.

You're such a pessimist.

Go through and they use up energy and falter in the league. No chance of winning it.

Go into Europa and they have that awful Thurs-Sun game week that nobody seems to cope with. Few good teams in there so unlikely to win that either.

None of those and they lose vital revenue for their debt ridden owners.
