They are failing at that, Around 2.5 billion net spend since 2008 combined and they don't even have ONE european cup between them.

I guess they'll continue to spend their limitless dirty slavery owning blood money at the problem until it eventually happens.

Blood money? But Liverpool are owned by americans.I don't mean any offence to any blues from the USA here, but the us is the biggest war mongering nation on the planet. So i find you using words like blood money, to be pretty ironic.

The only crumb of comfort is we're unlikely to get relegated. Pretty sure that City got relegated one of the years when Man Utd won the league. That must be the worst!

There’s even worse than that.

Always remember my Dad telling me about Man Utd legend, Denis Law, transferred to rivals Manchester City and scoring the winning goal on the very last day of the 1974 season at Old Trafford - in a game that relegated Man United.

Imagine Gerrard signing for us in his last season and scoring the winning goal in a derby at Anfield.

Would never happen these days....we don’t do victory in derbies.

Come on City.
We have to roll over and let City take the points off us.

And do it in such an obvious way - like 10 changes, Bernard in goal or something- that the lovables make the usual shows of themselves - writing petitions, getting Aldo and their pundits foaming at the mouth, flags demanding a replay, points docked from us, etc.

But watch this game be the only game that our spineless jellyfish turn up for all season...

I bet he'll come out for more crosses than Pickford.
