ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I see the bookies still have City big odds on favourites to win the league.

I hope we beat City in 2 weeks.

There’s a long way to go get and the RS still haven’t done anything I wouldn’t have expected of them despite not looking particularly good whilst getting these results.

There’s a collapse coming there way this season.

I said last season if they didnt win it last season they will at some point- its effectively a top 2 and you cant expect City to do a Celtic and monopolise the league - the league is too competitive for that and atleast one season they'll have an off year - it happens to Barca and Real and it'll happen to City.

Those desperate for them to never win it need to just get over it - until Klopp goes/ the other 4 in the 'top 6' get their act together its between them and City.
You wrote those things in the same post. Sometimes you might want to take a moment.

I hope we donate our usual six points to them.

Imagine that lot win the title by a point at the end of the season.

Donate 6 points to City; take 4 points or more off the Kopites this season. That makes a big impact on the destination of the title.

Just look after ourselves right now for me mate.

I think there a collapse around the corner coming for them. They’re getting away with it at the moment and haven’t done anything I wouldn’t expect of them.

I can’t wait to play them tbh. I love Silva and he knows the score, he’s got the beating of them I reckon. He sent us out showing know fear whatsoever and the confidence to impose our own style on them, which we definitely did.

We comfortably went toe to toe with them last year unlike anyone else and I think we’ll do them this year.

We can do well against them; I just prefer that we dont and we save our momentous wins up to include two against that lot.

We hardly "donate our usual 6 points to City". How often has that happened? Last season yes, other than that? We drew at City twice under Koeman, as well as the 4 - 0 at GP which you seem to have forgotten. Was it the same season we drew at City with Stek saving two penalties? Also, Lukaku always seemed to score against City, and under Moyes we seldom lost to them.

Two of the last 3 City title winning seasons we lost all 6 points; we lost 4 to them in the other.

Moyes: the City game was the only one's we turned up to; he shat the rest against good opposition.

Its a top two but the league is more competitive that say the SPL where Celtic will hoover up all the points - games like Norwich can happen to the top sides but you have to be a fool in a 2 horse race to keep backing the same horse year after year - at some point the other horse will win one.

September, a win tomorrow and up to third and you want to lose a game just to stop a local rival. Difficult to split whether you are more obsessed with them than us.
