Let's just get one thing right. The building was lit up in red, white and blue for Armed Forces Week, like it is every year. Clearly visible from most photos from last night. Not just blue as seems to be the peddled excuse from more than a few.

I'm sure every sane person would agree, even if it was lit up in Everton blue it doesn't excuse the criminal behaviour from those mutants last night. Breaking social distancing laws, littering, damage to a listed building to name but a few of their crimes.

The red part was also the most prominent but all they could see was blue.
Win the C/L, attack/deface Rupert's tower. Win the league, head over to Goodison and disrespect a memorial and statue then try to set fire to a World Heritage building.
Is there no one in the media who has the bollocks to stand up and shout out this mindless acts?

The social distance thing is neither here nor there, IMO we would have done similar. I know I would have probably congregated as doubtless thousands more of us would.

The abhorrent behaviour that followed however is inexcusable.

Their actions over the last two nights could have far more serious implications in the future regarding the spreading of the disease.
However questions have seriously got to be asked of the police, they must have known as soon as Chelsea won, they weren’t going to stay at home and celebrate. Why weren’t these gatherings dispersed? Why was the echo allowed to run a live blog ‘highlighting and celebrating’ something that was illegal. Joe Anderson has questioned the role of the police, I wonder if we’ll get a response?
