The special treatment and protection they get from the media is incredible, but why do they get it? I think there is more than one reason and it's not easily explained. Firstly the media, tv and newspapers and absolutely infested with their fans. Secondly, anyone who does criticise them gets the full treatment from the fans. Lastly the club itself is very litigious. A few journos have hinted that they were silenced by Liverpool's lawyers when they attempted to publish stories about the hacking scandal. Only The Times was brave enough to ignore the legal threats and publish the story. When the Leeds manager admitted peeping over a wall to spy on opposition training, there was national outrage. It filled the media for days. Liverpool employees hack their rivals and steal scouting information. Not only that, but they promote the two hackers as a reward for a job well done. Not a peep in the media. That is the power they have.
It's sickening to watch as a relative outsider, I can't begin to imagine what it's like being in the same City and being tarnished with the same brush.

Condemned forever with that.

They set themselves up as a serious organisation that tackles football issues for their fans.

They demonstrate there that they haven't got the bollocks to call out the rioters in their own fan base.

If you were a decent red you'd be very angry at that failure to address the issue.

Just another BS organisation sucking in cash and wasting people's time.
 
The utter hypocrisy after glorifying and promoting the scenes at Anfield on Thursday and the Pier Head last night.

Liverpool ECHO editor Alastair Machray also blasted the actions of a "minority" of supporters.

The Echo even included a tweet on their live coverage of yesterday from some meff that said "Reds get down to Pier Head".

If it wasn't so pathetic it'd be laughable.

I’ll never forget his reply, it’s been that way since Munich and Shankly, you better get used to it. They’re both equally obsessed with each other. I’ve no doubt at all Carragher got the job on MNF as RS fans would have kicked up a fuss, about the bias to united on the show. It’s of course totally ironic, as ex RS players are pundits everywhere , spouting the same biased rubbish on a weekly basis. When you have so much influence in the media, they are able to control everything, even the reporting of their fans from last night.

I have deleted my replies to this because it feels like people are using it for point scoring and that wasn't the intention. I also don't have evidence bar my eyes and my memories and I haven't come across anyone red or blue who can corroborate.

No surprise that the big brave boys from SOS bottled their statement after giving it large at Anderson over something he ended up being proved right on, good on the Reds on the comments for pulling them up on it too, maybe they will go like the BU and pipe down for awhile
