Probably mate. It just seemed very odd to me. A bloke who looks old enough to be my dad, casually mentioning that he put his "mates" picture up, who happens to be a kid. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation, but I don't think the above explanation really works.

For the damage, it will be covered by insurance. Reds and blues would donate though and thats how the media would portray it. In all honesty it would just keep the story going.

Yes, insurance pays for this. Although I'd suggest the insurance company may be a bit alarmed that the police didn't intervene until after it was torched on the basis of "we can't intervene".You'd certainly be asking some questions if you were an underwriter.

Legally he's not an adult is he? I mean I'm trying to look from a legal standpoint. However even if we discard that, it does seem odd to me a bloke of his age is supposedly mates with a 17 year old and has pictures stored of him on his devices. While I'm sure its not illegal, and I may be a prude but it does seem very unusual to me.

Here's another "decent" kopite, who just happens to be my local MP - this is his only statement on the events from the weekend, as far as I can tell.

Silence is golden it appears, much like his chum Rotherham.

I wonder if my MP will speak to his other kopite mate, the chief con, to actively pursue further arrests for the multitude of other violent and abbhorent acts perpetrated by kopites last weekend, including the many other rocket scruffs who were also targeting the liver buildings, who have miraculously not been mentioned in the media today?

Yes I mentioned that threshold yesterday, and there was some question as to whether they feel the damage was actually over 5k. What this looks like is they are accepting the damage is over 5k, and won't context that part, which automatically pushes it into a serious amounts of damage caused. If it's at crown court, he's now quite likely to get some sort of custodial sentence. I hope it was worth it, trying to fire rockets at a building that represents the city you hate, to make your kopite mates who all hate scousers laugh.

Potentially. If I was hedging my bets, it'll be between a high level community order and a two year custodial although more likely to be 6-18 months.

If true, there may be other factors involved that will push towards being a custodial and risk of danger to the public would sway away from a suspended sentence.

Unbelievable!! After the stick he got last time off those SoS whoppers why should he have to say it again?!

"Gutted at some of the actions last night"...but ok with other actions he witnessed, is the clear inference.

It's easy to condemn correctly, he could have just said EVERYONE in attendance had now contributed to the future second wave that will hit Merseyside.

That would have been commendable as well as correct.
