ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Merseyside police did the minimum they could possibly do, they allow these gatherings when they should be stopped from even starting, they wouldn't do that with us.

As to the RS 'disappointment' that some RS fans attended the ground...Well they might be pretend 'disappointed' now but you can bet your life that when the pandemic is finished they will proudly display those same 'disappointing' scenes in their museum and on all literature to do with their title 2019/20 and replace the word 'disappointed' with 'passionate' as an example of 'the best fans in the world' - that WILL happen.

I can just see it now...
The gallant braves of 2020 ventured out in the midst of a pandemic to pay homage to epic deeds of their all conquering heroes ....

I remember that. Well as the Chief Officer, everything comes under his remit... even if a Ch. Supt is in charge of the actual ground Policing. His Force... his commitment and DUTY.
I could kind of see where he was coming from, but if you're getting numerous complaints about the treatment of one set of fans over 4/5 fixtures, then its his job to see why its happenening, take the complaints on board and promise it will be looked into, the simple fact is the 2 sets of fans are treated completely differently to me thats wrong,if its a case of it being a gigh risk fixture,is any more high risk than the return one? Is it more high risk than Chelsea,Man United,Man City ,Roma, none of those teams get treated that way,if its high risk why are rs allowed to stand outside the pubs with glasses and bottles?

As I say, I’m happy to slag anyone and everyone who argues and point scores on twitter. Whatever their chosen stance, target or field.

but, the “bandying of it about” was entirely necessary for years and years while nothing was being done by authorities. I wore a JFT96 sticker on my jacket happily whenever I was offered one, many years before justice was even considered likely, and was proud to.

Edit: my point I guess is there’s plenty of other things to go after them for. I’d rather we leave Hillsborough out of it.
That's funny. The RS would rather leave Heysel out of it as well.

We want to thank the overwhelming majority of @LFC supporters who listened to advice & celebrated at home last night. We made 9 arrests after some fans gathered at #Anfield & urge people to continue following guidance to keep each other safe. Read more

Now it all makes sense. The Merseyside Police top man can't count.

First game when I was 4, season ticket holder for 40 years, been to 99% of finals since 1977,

How can he have been to 99% of finals when they haven't been to enough to actually make that possible?
