ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What is this "tell us never" thing? I've never heard it before. Is it just a branding slogan they've invented and tried to make a thing?
It means more, tell us never, yadda yadda. I don't even know if anyone remembers what nonsense they're spewing is the current version of nonsense.

I prefer that they stick with the classics. #YMCA

Leaving the football bias aside, the Echo is dreadful.
So many stories that are just designed for people to rip into each other in the comments and make vile comments that often remain for all to see.
It feels like it tries to drag the city down.

Im only 28, but it was genuinely a highlight going down the newsagents and getting the “late” echo or the pink footie paper in the week and on weekends.

Nowadays I just get inundated with garbage like “locals shocked as loud bang heard from City Street”... how is it journalism?

today I’ve had “North Wales town described as bedlam due to tourist influx”, “McDonalds issue Eat out, Help out Message”.

What garbage is this?

How sad they have tried to get Anfield as the no1 trend on twitter as City are playing a massive game. They cannot bear to be out of the limelight can they?

Social media just amplifies how much fans of certain clubs are largely bellends when it comes to football.

If we had just won the league I couldn't care less about City yet for alot of fans success is only secondary to lauding it over other clubs fans as some badge of personal success.

I've said for a while there heads will utterly fall clean off if we ever start winning stuff again as they couldn't handle trophy parades etc in the city not involving them.

If only it gave our players the desire to actually win something..

That horrible "Tell Us Never" slogan (as if they are somehow underdogs) that some marketing cretin has made makes absolutely no sense.

They have a front 3 to rival anyone in the world.

They have a back 4 containing the world's most expensive centre half.

They have the world's most expensive keeper.

They have a manager who, despite being an unhinged freak, is top notch.

How on earth can their success over the last 2 years be considered some sort of against-all-odds story?

I honestly can't comprehend it at all.

Because the FA are against them*, the press support other teams ** and they've built a squad with little spend***.

*Incorrect
**Again, incorrect.
*** Ditto.
