ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What I don't understand about claiming Scouse heritage to support Liverpool is what does it matter? I'm hoping that we start to pick up more non-local support from all over the world. I wouldn't care if they were from Colombia or Colchester, no one needs a reason other than they just liked us enough to follow us, just don't fabricate some ridiculous story - be yourself.

Its hard though when your 'self' is a shallow, glory hunting sad act desperately looking for belonging and validation. No-one wants that in their bio.

Just had an argument with some kopite in our group chat who started moaning about fans not being let into the games yet, to which I asked why he's arsed, he doesn't go the games.

Its funny how the ones who don't go the games don't understand that its not just watching a game of footy and then leaving.

To which he starts banging on about how he prefers live stadium noise and how you don't have to go the game to support a team and stadiums cant fit millions of people in.

Weird them armchair kopites yeno.

right, I'm confused. Are wools in or out, good people or nobs?? Asking for a friend.

There's nothing in and of itself wrong with being a wool. Your only crime is not being born or raised in Liverpool. That's not your fault. If, however, you spend your life pretending that you're from the city or you prattle on about "scouse heritage from your grandad back" like it makes you an honorary purple bin holder then you are veering dangerously towards the category of Bad Wool.

I've no problem with people outside the city supporting Everton (or even that other lot), myself I've lived more than half of my life away from the place... But don't pretend to be something you aren't. Be proud of where you are from, unless where you are from is Birkenhead.

my 'friend' in Cheshire breathes a sigh of relief.
