ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

so you don't want a worldwide fanbase for Everton?
so you don't want tourism fans at the new stadium?
It's tricky.

We want fans from overseas who are Evertonians and not merely customers like over the park. Do we want tourism at the new stadium for the sake of tourism? Personally no. But I'd love for those Everton fans whose attendance is limited due to finances, geography or whatever to be able to come when they can but not lose those that are regulars - a tricky balancing act, but I am sure we'll have a fairly high season ticket allocation compared to the rs which will help as they are too interested in rinsing one off visitors than regular match goers who don't spend so much per visit.

100% agree with you, it's a tightrope & local engagement, Kids cheap tickets should all be parts of the big wins of the new stadium, but corporate football and football tourism also need to a part of the global growth of the club. We can't pat ourselves on the back for the global reach of the likes of the James signing and the question the logic of it elsewhere.

it's not an easy part of our growth, but sadly (for Many) it's an essential part of any expansion Journey. One thing that struck me about the Spurs documentary was the amount of tourism they have attracted (Granted Son is a big part of that)

Whatever you think. I'm not sure I see the difference. Or perhaps I'm just not bothered enough to see it.

my point - to grow as a global club, expand incomes we need to be open as a club to the idea of football tourism and global reach

Your point - the morons arriving from Norway, will to pay £300 quid to a tout before being laced by their club at all levels a different discussion & completely agreed, that's not what we want

They've somehow got another club to spend £20m+ on a player who has scored no goals for the club albeit he did do well at Swansea.
Unbelievable the fees they get for their cringe players, think it was last season they got around £10 million for their third choice keeper who had played about three Carabao cup games!!!
