I actually think it’s a dangerous game Souness is playing there with the assault comments and Sky need to have a word with him and all the other so called pundits. Claiming it was an assault with intent to seriously harm the player is only creating a toxic feel about it all, we are already seeing death threats for Pickford all over social media. If these so called journalists like the one above genuinely do care about players well beings, they’ll just accept it for what it is, an unfortunate coming together in a game which has resulted in a bad injury and stop throwing the assault rhetoric around which is resulting in players lives being threatened all over social media.

Carragher called it for what it was and was professional about it and he’s saying that as a Liverpool legend.

Not just him mate that jarg pundit ex player Chris Sutton was saying the same thing earlier. It’s a dangerous term to throw around.
