The reasoning Van Dijk gives, is precisely why his challenge is a straight red. The only way for him to get the ball that night was to lunge, recklessly and dangerously, at speed, at someone running onto the ball. It's not acceptable anymore to say, 'I won the ball an I wasn't going to hurt him'.

You can tell that he actually walks around nightclubs in RS training gear telling everyone he plays for Liverpool so that people will take pictures with him.

I'm talking about the scrawny midget, not the actual player now. Would love to see sean's hitlist, which players has he taken out in his life? I've never heard of him the absolute child.

The results are yet to be seen but if Liverpool lose a few points coming up to xmas over bad defending. That game is better than any 3 points we may have got.

I was reading earlier that Liverpool have won only 40% of their games without Van Dijk in the team.

Even if that shoots up to an unlikely 60% they'll struggle to win anything this season.

Had to laugh when Souness in reply to Carragher saying "Some of the tackles you put in Graeme" Souness trying to defend himself by saying "it was a different generation" also liked Carragher in reply to that telling him " oh behave"

Huge drop off that. It was going to going to be a struggle for them to keep pace with us anyway this season, they did well to restrict us to 1 at the weekend; but it will be a serious struggle for them now. Especially if they pick up another injury in Matip.
