They look an average team all the time to me. I've been scolded on here by (apparently) Evertonians who say "yeah, but Dave, you're being OTT; they are a great team".

FFS, they are NOT a great team and nowhere near it. They can huff and puff and run all season and grind out narrow wins with the benefit of officials in many cases, but they are way off being anything near the standard of football team even an out of sorts Man City can are.

Bit of a stretch; Euro champs, 2 successive CL finals and have lost 1 prem match in 48 with a goal difference of plus 84 in that time.

They have no shame and neither does the media which peddle such nonsense.
As you say theirs was over 2 seasons with a 3 month break in the middle!
City's was 14 straight wins to win the title by a point - that is serious pressure.
It is just ludicrous as to the lengths they will go to in an attempt to try and
prove that they are the best. It is genuinely laughable.
The great news also, is that they didn't equal Chelsea's record of 9 straight wins
at the beginning of a season either.

Just watched Carragher's schtick from last night. Seriously he expects us to believe that a few of Suarez's closest mates in the team were behind the whole idea and he and many others, including Dalglish and Gerrard, all sheepishly went along. F off.

Dalglish conducted a pre-match interview wearing it and was bullish when asked by the reporter, as if it were an absurd question. They're a disgusting club with a warped mindset that the world is unfair against them and it was this incident that brought it to light for the entire world to see.

They'd support Peter Sutcliffe's bid for parole if he got 6 stars tattooed in his arm.
