ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Sterling sent home from the England camp for confronting Gomes.
I presume it must have been Sterling who was to blame if Gomes didn't get sent home when one of England's genuinely quality players got sent home.

Long term though if they can't play together, you'd have to leave Gomes out.

Anyway, let Raheem rest. Gomes needs to tire himself out for their busy schedule.

This altercation should have never even seen the light of day. It happened in the dressing room, it should have stayed in the dressing room. A shocking piece of man management by Southgate.
Anyone who has played competitive football knows that fall outs, arguments and bust ups happen week in and week out. It's part and parcel of the game. Possibly drop Sterling or say he is 'injured' - but to go public in the way that he has Southgate has made a major error going forward in my opinion and it will come back to bite him on the bum sometime soon.

Sterling released a comment that Him and Gomez are now friends again.

honestly I like Sterling, seems like a nice guy but the treatment he receives from media and fans is horrible. Especially RS fans and now even RS players.

Maybe it was the first time under Southgate that something like this happened. So he might just be setting an example. Funny thing would be that Ox gets a start since Sterling is out and then gets injured lollll

Apparently Gomez impressed everyone in the dressing through his professional conduct.
He didn’t react to Sterling and instead took a step back.

Sometimes I wonder if this world is really all about RS

I'm not saying brush it under the carpet, I'm saying bringing it up like it was brought up here to score points is crap.

Thanks for highlighting this tragedy Roger. As you may gather we blues will never forget this, unlike the perpetrators supporters and club. So as for point scoring please don’t embarrass yourself.

He shouldve pulled up Alexander Arnold too the way he treated him on Sunday without censure. Every team needs a snarler but the RS seem to have an abundance of them acting at will. Maybe its time the refs started flashing the cards a bit more to put them in their place.
