ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

why did you have it in for him? Thats right out of the white nationalist handbook. You were hyperbolic in your critique? But he’s done nothing to be critical about. He hasn’t brought any of the criticism on himself? What are you on about? There’s no doubting he’s become a better player at City and is a better and more impressive MAN. Thats what maturing does to you. The dignified way he has dealt with the vitriol thrown at him by Chelsea Liverpool, the right wing press and you yourself is hugely impressive. What your saying here really is ‘if he plays for the RS, he’s fair game’. mmmmmmm. Hypocrite.
I think he was still at city the time of the quote, it wasn't until some lads smarter than myself picked up on the unpleasant nature of how the crtique of him had took a racial tone, I think david squires also picked on it who I enjoy reading. I was happy to be enlightened about it without my bias against the RS which is in the nature of these tribal things, but since his move to City and the abuse instigated at anfield and moved further afield clearly became quite racial he has somewhat become the victim of an unseemly agenda that goes way beyond tribalism of football teams and into to something much nastier. He didn't bring the tribal nature of critique on himself, and he most certainly hasn't brought this new level of vitriol on himself

So yeah in summary he didn't bring it on himself, he became a ore impressive player at City and a more impressive individual, we agree on that it seems, not sure why the word MAN angers you so much? It also seems you are agreeing the way he dealt with vitriol he has received at chelsea, liverpool and in the right wing press is very impressive, or are you just repeating what I'm saying? I genuinely can't tell?

Why this subject has an evertonian so riled is really a bit weird

He says, whilst flicking through the 'White Nationalists Handbook'.

You're struggling here mate, just give it up. Nobody is biting.

The RS Cultural Attache' to Qatar who visits there often apparently..Jason McAteer..shows an almost Census-type insight into the football loving folk there . Apparently, theres a big Indian, Filipino and ex-Pat community there, the majority of which are Liverpool fans. He didnt say massive fans.. but they probably must be surely. Or even huge.
Hassan al Shawaddywaddy assured Jason that the Indian and Filipino community all bleed red. Especially when behind schedule to welcome their beloved red men.

he has not brought the level of vitriol on himself, in no way was it justified at anfield, stamford bridge or in the press because as you said 'he bought his mum a house and got a tattoo'

Honestly the idea of him bringing it on himself is a bit disturbing
Spot on. Of course a young lad who bought his mum a house and got a daft tattoo is in my old geezer mind a dumbass for the tattoo but you know he's a good un if he's looking after his family.

The deeply disturbing relationship between the media and rs plus the addition of a hefty dollop of racist attitude lead to the frankly awful portrayal of a very professional young man aspiring to the top of his trade with a rare dedication.

The best thing that could have happened to Sterling is leaving that cult's clutches.

Thats right, take it all out of context. He hasn’t deserved any criticism, whatsoever. Laughing gas? No problem.Heres a couple of your posts from the past, concerning Sterling.

Said the rs taking someone's comments out of context.

Do you remember us all laughing about rs trawling the most ancient tweets from when people were daft kids to discredit them? Classic rs playbook.

I don’t know the hatred towards Sterling by RS fans. It was clear as day that Rodgers was the reason he left. Rodgers use to play him as a wing back occasionally and also blasted him off on camera for some stupid Liverpool movie. He didn’t sulk, played wonderfully while he was there. City was obviously the best choice for him. His trophy haul plus first team game time at a young age proves that. RS were even fine selling him as they thought City paid a lot of money for a young player who has now turned into a world beater and a bargain. The fact that they thought Jordan Ibe was a better player says a lot about their fans really.

Sterling also admitted that his kids are a big Liverpool fans and was man enough to admit that his kids celebrate when RS wins. Says a lot about him being man enough to admit it. His agent even said that if Klopp was managing Liverpool before, Sterling wouldn’t have left. What more do their fans want ?

I don’t get their hatred. Not every player is entitled to love RS and play their forever. Let’s face it, their best players from Alonso, Maschereno, Torres, Suarez and Coutinho all left for bigger and better clubs. World doesn’t revolve around them. Sooner they realize, better it is for them and football in general.

Ha Ha! I remember my brother (a red) telling me this and they he would be twice the player that Sterling would ever be.

The RS will hate all this Spurs stuff today, the big news is not about THEM.
Surely you jest?

Question: If the biggest story in football, the only thing people are talking about right now, is Tottenham appointing a former Chelsea and Manchester United manager, how do you make it all about Liverpool?

Answer: Easy. Just ask the Liverpool Echo.
‘Mauricio Pochettino sacking shows Tottenham Hotspur never truly recovered from Champions League Final loss to Liverpool in Madrid’
Of course, it actually shows that Tottenham are 14th, have taken 25 points from their last 26 league games, have lost more games than any other top-flight side this year and are below Everton and Newcastle and level with Burnley in a calendar year Premier League table.

They also haven’t won away in the Premier League since January. But no, this is all down to a defeat they suffered in June. This is Liverpool’s doing.
