So if the RS finish 4th and Chelsea 5th but Chelsea win the CL do the RS get in?
Think so. But if United win the EL and stay in top 4, then no.

I know, its enough to make you spew innit...but only if you're that way inclined - like most of us.They lost their 3 main center halves and replaced them with Kabak, Phillips, and Williams who have all had less than 10 premier league apps and they're still within finishing 4th. Jota also got injured in the peak of his form as well. I think from a sporting view its impressive that they can save their season, look how exposed United were without Maguire.
Let's be thankful for small mercies thenThink so. But if United win the EL and stay in top 4, then no.

4th is guaranteed CL now - would’ve needed Chelsea to win the CL and finish outside the top 4 and also Arsenal to win the EL and finish outside the top 4 for 4th spot not to qualify as there’s a max of 5 English teams allowed in the CL

I'm not sure about that, I think that the EL is an extra spot that allows a 5th team in, if United win it the spot is not transferable. If Chelsea win the CL and Liverpool finish 4th then to the best of my knowledge Liverpool won't get in. City, United and whoever finishes 3rd get in and Chelsea if they win the CL and finish 5th, then 4th will get punted..4th is guaranteed CL now - would’ve needed Chelsea to win the CL and finish outside the top 4 and also Arsenal to win the EL and finish outside the top 4 for 4th spot not to qualify as there’s a max of 5 English teams allowed in the CL
Tbh mate I think it is. To take that team from where they were last season without PEDs is a miracle in it self. The media will spin the line that because of their ‘injuries’ the RS getting top 4 would be more of an achievement than Man City winning the league.
That's how it used to work when Spurs missed out but they've changed the rules since then unfortunately!I'm not sure about that, I think that the EL is an extra spot that allows a 5th team in, if United win it the spot is not transferable. A maximum of five Premier League teams are eligible for UEFA Champions League qualification.
In the event that a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League and another win the UEFA Europa League and neither of these clubs finish in the top four of the Premier League, the club lying fourth in the table will drop into the UEFA Europa League group stage.
If a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League and another win the UEFA Europa League and neither have qualified for UEFA competitions through their league positions or by winning the FA Cup or EFL Cup, they will qualify for the UEFA Champions League and the club finishing fourth in the table will drop into the UEFA Europa League group stage.
That's what I thought. Best thing is the rs implode and none of this matters.I'm not sure about that, I think that the EL is an extra spot that allows a 5th team in, if United win it the spot is not transferable. Nah the idea situation would be for them to finish 4th and miss out to Chelsea who win the CL... them to lose out on CL based on a rule they fought to change would be just a nice little kick in the teeth for them. That's what I thought. Best thing is the rs implode and none of this matters.
Makes no difference mate 4th gets you in the CL regardlessNah the idea situation would be for them to finish 4th and miss out to Chelsea who win the CL... them to lose out on CL based on a rule they fought to change would be just a nice little kick in the teeth for them.
And there would me no such thing as a NeymarArsenal would cease to exist!
