ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Salah making contract noises finally. Liverpool will have to either pay him an eye watering contract, or he will be able to sign a pre contract agreement in 12 months.

Lovely to see Shippmann touting origi out like a pimp after the game today - "I wish a manager would take origi and play him more than I do, but I love the boy" - the absolute bellend.

I think he wants his mate Eddie Howe to through him a load of the barcodes dirty oil money.

Sad thing is, I can see Howe paying over the odds to them for origi, just like he did with solanke - and watch the turd never score again if howe does!
I thought exactly the same when howe was appointed another dodgy sale , Howe would walk away with at least a million in his pocket.

Alternatively if Liverpool win it this season, it will be 2/5 compared to City’s 3/5, one of which was decided between the 2 teams by a single point.

Throw in a champions leauge win and a champions league final for the RS, I’d count that higher than a few leauge cups.

There’s nothing between them.
City look capable of putting 10 past liverpool for the last 5 seasons, it's not even close.

Trying to downplay the champions league to compare it to leauge cup final, get real mate. Saying because they played English teams in the final it’s like the leauge cup, what about all the teams they beat in the previous rounds.

It’s not what it was, but it hasn’t been for so many years.

Still the biggest trophy in club football.

Sound so bitter it’s embarrassing.
Liverpool fans told me the world club championship was the best, who can beat alshawaddywaddy and the champions of new Zealand surely are the best.

Just when our stomachs havent churned enough, up pops Tony Cascarino in today's Times........

It’s early days, so I could end up looking silly for saying this, but Steven Gerrard appears to be the best head coach of the generation of top players he came from. In only four games with Aston Villa, he has succeeded in making his team an expression of his character and personality. Villa play the way he did — they get the ball forward quickly, and they are direct and energetic. It is a real skill to make a team a reflection of the way you are — the most obvious example of someone who has done that is Sir Alex Ferguson.

I’ve not met Steven but I know some people who know him well and they all say that he carries himself brilliantly. He is humble but he commands respect, and his players at Villa will know that he has a ruthless side. He’s not going to be doing knee slides or going crazy on the touchline, it’s all much more controlled than that, but equally he’s not there to be friends with his players. Villa fans should be excited about what they have, and I don’t expect him to be the sort of guy who has a bit of success and then gets political about trying to get a bigger job.

Sounds a bit like:

Win the league cup and you get £400k as the winner's cheque.

Win the CL playing 13 games from the tv revenues and the prize money combined gets around £140-£150 million.

You get £1 million per point prize money in the group stages alone.

It's no wonder PL clubs never take the LC serious by playing weakened teams, rest over money.

France just got rid of their league cup, was only PSG who took it serious, just like City over here.
