Chickens coming home to roost springs to mind. I have sympathy for the individual RS fans - the decent ones - who've clearly been caught up in this.

However, the legacy of their historical behaviour will sway the opinion of the authorities - who would the French cops have been weary of? We know the answer.

Were their major issues with Madrid fans being delayed? Did it appear as if there was a serious issue with Madrid fans having fake tickets or bunking in?

Which set of fans have been shown to be involved in trouble? There's a common denominator here and perhaps they finally need to admit it.

Everyone else can see the elephant in the room.

Funny as it is watching idiots like that brag about their stupidity and getting hammered for it on social media, it does demonstrate that yet again that some Liverpool fans are directly complicit in causing the situations that they cry victim over. Until that is addressed I can never take them seriously, and it's sickening listening to Sky et al trying to whitewash their involvement in this latest stain on football.
