ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Aggro between them from 1979 onwards when Forest got promoted and won the League, European Cup (knocking them out in the first round too) and Kopites got mardy about it. They have had this current sense of entitlement for decades now. They never did well when they came to the City Ground (on and off the pitch) during that time either.
Watched a documentary/film about Clough's double EC winning side on a while back. Stumbled on it and figured I'd watch it as I didn't know much about that era of Forest. That first round KO made for very enjoyable viewing.

Quality side that Forest had then. John Robertson was something else.

Here I think:

That's it mate,
There is another one with the PSG ultras all black t-shirt ect outside the ground as well.
Looks like they were trying to get in.
They are so far behind the English teams these days are nothing like they used to be, trying to make a name for themselves when it's mostly finished in England these days.

They were a brilliant side , if you can watch them play the Rs in the European Cup, they were massive underdogs.
Had a high pressing game wonderful stuff

Yes I saw that one too. This one looks very moody though to be fair.

The point is, in the last 3 months they been to more cup finals then we have in 30 odds years.
And I bet the euphoria majority of evertonians got from the last few weeks of this season tops anything kopites got from their 0/0 penalty Cup wins seriously if we won silverware I'd probably self combust, goodison 2nd half against Palace was an atmosphere that would take some beating the 1st goal took it up a level second goal it went up again we scored a 3rd and goodison was a special place to be, it was spontaneous it was goodison at its best my son was a mascot for us at 7 years of age he is now 22 he hasn't seen us win a trophy stood next to me and couldn't believe what was happening what he was seeing at the end he stood there welling up soaking it all in, he said that was the best moment he had as a blue, give me that any day we stayed up we never won a trophy if we did it would be off the scale, kopites plazzy fans with the red tat flags and the depressing ymca cult like music, playing the victims depressing self pity fans no real emotion just playing up for TV, there for the experience the day out and to be customers. Kopites about as spontaneous as the 10 o clock news same s#*# different day,

I used to go to Forest more than Everton back in them days as raised there but bought up a blue (thanks grandad!)

There is a great forest dvd called "I believe in miracles" covering that period so if you like football in general from that time take a look at that too.

Robbo wasn't the best player in Europe at the time but he was probably the most effective. They way he used to beat (stumble past) defenders was amazing. Sat next to a fella at Goodison this season (Watford game so we ignored the horror on the pitch) and got chatting and he told me a time when he was giving Robbo some grief from the terrace when he took a throw in front of him but Robbo was taking no sh*te off no one that day and had a proper go back at him lol
